Miss V will be unavailable until further notice as someone has stolen her phone line. She has spent the morning going round in circles being passed from France Telecom to Orange and back again only to discover that Free have taken liberties and freely stolen her line. She is now feeling emotional and exhausted and really should be doing some work but is unable to concentrate as she contemplates the full weight of the possibility of a week without a phone line, no internet, no MSN, not being able to check the weather forecast during this tricky autumnal season so that she is not over or underdressed, no...

Oh woe - I know the feeling only too well - happened to me two weeks ago - no phone, no internet. Actually, the peace and quiet were rather nice...
In this situation (which is not unfamiliar to me) I try not to give into the frustration but see it as an opportunity to concentrate on other things. eg my writing takes priority over blogging/email rather than the other way round.
If on the other hand, you find the above smug and irritating, feel free to throw something in my general direction.
Although since you won't be reading this until all is sorted, I should be safe ...

I did actually write a poem about how sad I was being Debi and then I got sad that I couldn't post it! No, you're not being smug or irritating, but have you noticed that I'm replying?... No no phone yet, but checking mails and blogs has taken priority over planning and marking and stuff like that! Whoops.
Surely any posts about Wanderingscribe should include a link to the Anya Peters site so folks can get a balanced view .....
