Snails! I have a similar photo of a wall in a Languedoc village with a huge a crack and a small amount of crawling vegetation. Probably not cosmically significant.
Real ones!!! Oooh. Actually I did take some real snails a few summers ago in Charente, but the wall wasn't as interesting.
